We want to go to Prague. I know what you are thinking, we want to go everywhere. We do, its true. I am interested in this city in particular as it is one of the oldest cities in Europe where ancient architecture still stands to this day. Although Prague was bombed during World War II as were many other cities, it sufferent the least damage as far as architecture is concerened. Several buildings of the Baroque and Clasical periods are still around today.

So in a city with history at every step, where would I stay? Probably at a place that was the exact opposite. A place that seems to be creating a name for itself. Hotel Josef. This hotel is located in the Jewish “Josefov” quarter on a serene cobblestoned street. It is designed around a peaceful courtyard garden and is divided into two houses, Orange and Pink. The hotel designed contains 109 rooms, a gymnasium, a sauna, massage room, 3 meeting rooms, a bar and restaurant. Architect Eva Jiricna built a contemporary hotel in the midst of a medieval city in 2002. In 2003 the American Institute of Architecture, London UK Chapter, awarded Jiricna the Design Excellence Award for this hotel. That in itself is a reason to visit.
